How to Mop with your Roomba® 100/1000 Series Combo Robot

« Go Back
Article Details

Your robot is able to both vacuum and mop at the same time when the mopping pad plate and mopping pad are installed.

Although the Roomba® 100/1000 Combo series can detect and avoid rugs/carpets, it cannot lift its pad to travel across them. Before starting a mopping job, we recommend you prepare the room by removing any rugs /carpets  in the area you want to mop

Note: Your Roomba 100/1000 can vacuum and mop or just vacuum, but it cannot mop only.

IMPORTANT: Do not add liquids such as hot water, detergent, or disinfectant as they could damage the robot.

After completing your mopping and vacuum cleaning job, make sure to empty the water tank and replace the mopping pad.

Use only approved water or iRobot approved cleaning solutions as noted at Approved Cleaning Solutions for Mopping and Combo Robots.
