Charging Error 117: All Roomba® Models

Charging Error 117 means that the battery may not be iRobot® authentic.

 

Confirm that you are using an authentic iRobot® Lithium-Ion battery. This charging error and others can occur with aftermarket purchased batteries. 

 

If the error persists, try to reboot your robot by:

  1. Take the robot off the dock
  2. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
  3. The robot will power off
  4. To turn it back on, hold the power button for 3 seconds

 

If the message persists after the reboot, and your battery is iRobot® authentic, please contact iRobot Customer Care.
