Select models have a door on the bin that can be opened.
Slide the new replacement bin into your robot and it will click into place.

Replacement bins includes a new filter, however, if the filter in your original bin is still new, you can use it in the new bin and save the included filter for later use.
This applies to Roomba 800 and 900 series.

Press and lift the filter door release tab.

Remove the filter by grasping the yellow tab.
This applies to Roomba 500, 600, and 700 series.

Open the bin door.

To optimize performance, ensure the full bin sensors are not covered with any dust or debris.

Wipe the sensors on the robot with a clean, dry microfiber or soft cotton cloth.

The AeroForce® Bin (800 and 900 series) has sensors built into it, to detect when the bin is full of debris. Wipe the inner and outer sensor ports on the bin with a clean melamine foam. The sensors are highlighted green in the following images:
