The battery level indicator in the iRobot® HOME App will let you know when your robot's battery is fully charged on the base and if the battery needs to be charged. The indicator is located on top of the CLEAN button on the screen and appears as a battery icon.
If the robot has been on the base for an extended period and should be fully charged, but the battery level indicator is not full, please confirm the following:
Ensure you’re on your local network.
When it is using a remote connection, the battery indicator may not fully update when the robot is charging. It is best to confirm the battery status when you are viewing the app on your local network.
Ensure that the robot is properly situated on the Home Base®.
If the charging contacts on the robot are not making contact with the charging contacts on the Home Base®/Clean Base™, then it can result in the battery not charging, causing the indicator to remain at the same level or possibly drop.
Ensure that the charging contacts are free of debris.
At times, debris can build up on the charging contacts. To remove debris, use a lightly dampened pad of melamine foam, such as a Magic Eraser, to wipe away debris, and then wipe down the contacts. Place the robot back on the Home Base®/Clean Base™ to confirm it is charging properly.
The battery indicator updates intermittently. If you are not seeing the robot reach a full charge and are on your local network, please wait 15 minutes, and then re-open the app.
If the problem persists, please contact iRobot Customer Care.
